rocket_launch Getting Started
An eSIM is a digital SIM that activates instantly by scanning a QR code. No physical card needed. After purchase, you'll receive a QR code via email. Go to Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM on your phone, scan the code, and you're connected on Orange 5G.
Most modern smartphones support eSIM: iPhone XS and newer, Google Pixel 3 and newer, Samsung Galaxy S20 and newer. Check your phone's Settings → About Phone → SIM Status for eSIM support. If your phone supports eSIM, it works with VayaConData.
Install it before you travel (you need Wi-Fi to scan the QR code). The eSIM activates as soon as your phone connects to a supported European network, so it's ready the moment you land. Just make sure you have the QR code saved before departure.

Yes. All Voice+SMS plans include a real +33 French mobile number. You can receive SMS (2FA codes, booking confirmations) and make/receive unlimited calls within the EU. It works just like a local French SIM. get a French number online.
Yes. Immediately after purchase you receive an email with the QR code and your new +33 French mobile number. You can install the eSIM on Wi-Fi while still in the United States. The number is assigned right away and can be used for most online forms and verifications before you travel. Full calls, SMS, and data activate when your phone connects to the Orange network after you arrive in Europe.
Yes. WhatsApp, iMessage, and other messaging apps work normally with your eSIM data. You can keep your regular WhatsApp account — no need to change anything. If you want a second WhatsApp account with your French number, WhatsApp now supports dual accounts on the same phone.

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) via Stripe, the industry-standard payment processor. Payment is one-time — no subscriptions, no hidden fees. Your eSIM is delivered immediately after payment.
Full refund within 30 days of purchase if you haven't activated the eSIM. If you're having technical issues, our support team will help troubleshoot first. Approved refunds are returned to the original card within 5–10 business days. See our full refund policy.

Yes. All VayaConData plans support hotspot/tethering. You can share your data with other devices like laptops or tablets.
After your eSIM is activated and fulfilled, log in at Order Lookup with the email and order number (or the link sent to you). You will see a usage bar showing data used and remaining for each line. The data is pulled directly from the network in real time. You can also dial #123# from the eSIM. Orange also texts you when you're under 2GB, and again when your data runs out.
Yes. Voice+SMS plans include international minutes to many countries outside the EU (in addition to unlimited calls/SMS within the EU). Amounts: 20GB plan = 30 min / 200 SMS; 50/100/200GB = 120 min / 1000 SMS; 500GB = 360 min / 3000 SMS. These are included at no extra charge.
Light users (maps, messaging, occasional browsing): 10-20GB. Moderate (social media, video calls, streaming): 50GB. Heavy users or families: 100GB+. Most travelers do fine with 20-50GB for 2-3 weeks. The 500GB plan is great for longer stays or groups.
For trips up to a month, no. To keep the line active longer than a month, Orange asks you to verify your identity online with your passport.
Data stops until you top up. You can do that on travel.orange.com, in an Orange shop, or at a tobacconist (tabac) in France.
Use the country code instead of the leading 0. For example, +39 in Italy or +33 for French numbers. In an emergency, dial 112, which is free.
Yes. When you arrive in a new country, Orange sends a welcome text with the emergency number and how to check your usage.
